1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TutorBuddy (the "Platform") at tutorbuddy.us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

2. Definitions

• "Platform" means the TutorBuddy website and associated services available at tutorbuddy.us.
• "User" means any individual accessing the Platform, whether as a student, instructor, or visitor.
• "Instructor" means a tutor or educator who has registered and been verified on the Platform.
• "Session" means a scheduled one-on-one or group tutoring appointment arranged through the Platform.
• "Company", "we", "us", "our" means Megamind Tutors Private Limited.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or apply as an Instructor. Users under 18 may use the Platform only with verifiable parental or guardian consent. By using the Platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

4. Instructor Registration and Verification

Individuals applying to teach on TutorBuddy must complete an identity verification process before their profile is activated. This process involves submitting a valid government-issued identity document for review. Verification is conducted by an authorised third-party compliance partner. We reserve the right to decline or suspend any instructor application without stating a reason.

Instructors are responsible for ensuring their qualifications, experience, and subject descriptions are accurate. Misrepresentation may result in immediate account termination.

5. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems;
• Use the Platform to facilitate any transaction outside of its intended tutoring-related purpose;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or overburden the Platform.

6. Sessions and Conduct

All sessions arranged through TutorBuddy must be conducted in a professional and respectful manner. Users may not record sessions without the explicit consent of all parties. Any report of misconduct during a session will be investigated, and the relevant account may be suspended pending review.

7. Payments and Fees

Session rates are set by individual instructors. The Company may apply a platform service fee, which will be clearly disclosed before any transaction is completed. All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. Refund eligibility is subject to the session cancellation policy communicated at the time of booking.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Megamind Tutors Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to the Company in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Company, or third parties.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Haryana, India. Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
